With „Nachtwaerts“, the duo Legatus presents a dark, poetic monument that blurs the boundaries between atmospheric metal, pagan lore, and an existential withdrawal from the modern world. Behind the project stand the visionary Legatus (concept, lyrics, vocals)—who gave the project its name—and Die Legion, responsible for the musical arrangements and multi-layered compositions.

Musically, „Nachtwaerts“ is defined by a majestic atmosphere driven heavily by keyboards, blending tragic melancholy with raw, natural power. Across seven chapters, Legatus takes the listener on a journey through mist-shrouded forests, ancient rites, and the deepest abysses of the human soul.
